Bella has just finished her first year studying English at Worcester college, Oxford, where acting roles have included starring as Melanie in ‘The Magic Toyshop’ at The Oxford Playhouse and performing in ‘Antigone’.
Cassie Barraclough Margarita
Cassie is about to enter her second year reading English at Oxford. In her first year she performed in 8 productions, including Ruth in ‘The Homecoming’ and Mimi in ‘Rent’. During her gap year she trained at the Oxford School of Drama on their foundation course, and outside of Oxford has performed at the National Theatre and the West End's Palace Theatre. She is an accomplished singer and violinist.
David Ralf Koroviev/Berlioz/Bengalsky
David has just finished his second year studying English at St Catherine’s College, Oxford. Recently he has directed his own play 'According to…' at the Burton Taylor Studio. He has performed in 'The Homecoming', 'The Philanthropist', 'Black Comedy' and 'Rhinoceros' at the BT Studio. He has also written and directed for college arts weeks. He established the Experimental Theatre Club's Wrighter's Workshop and has a three-year rain-check on the Royal Court Young Writer’s Programme, which awaits him on his return to London. His next project is to direct 'The Graduate' in November.
Joe Bayley Pilate
Joe is entering his final year studying English at Oxford Brookes. After a number of years away from acting he is making a return for this play, his first production for OUDS, and we are very glad to have him on board.
Jonnie McAloon Yeshua/Clown
Jonny is about to enter his final year studying English at Balliol college, Oxford. Previous acting includes parts in ‘Macbeth’ and as a cross-dressing Lucio as the only male cast member in the recent Oxford production of ‘Measure for Measure’. This is Jonny’s third time performing at the fringe.
Matthew Monaghan Behemoth the Cat
Matthew has been substantially involved in twelve shows during his first two years studying English at Oxford. Acting performances include Mankind in ‘Mankind’, Gregor Samsa in Kafka’s ‘Metamorphosis’, Berenger in ‘Rhinoceros’, and parts in new-writing plays ‘Udder’ and ‘The Aphorist’. He won 'Best Director' in the 2008 Cuppers competition for his direction of Ionesco's ‘The Lesson’ and has since directed a sell out version of 4.48 Psychosis, his own adaptation of Angela Carter’s ‘The Bloody Chamber’, and an innovative staging of ‘Measure for Measure’. Matt is president of Oxford’s Experimental Theatre Club. At the Edinburgh Fringe he is acting in both ‘The Master and Margarita’ and ‘Wait Until Dark’.
Max Hoehn Woland
Max has just finished a degree in History at Queen's College, Oxford, for which he received a First. His previous acting includes parts in ‘The Blue Room’, ‘Don Carlos’ (at the Oxford Playhouse), ‘Quills’, ‘Liebelei’ and ‘Art’. As a director he has staged ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, ‘The Changeling’, ‘Hansel and Gretel’, ‘A Dinner Engagement’, ‘Venus and Adonis’, ‘Art’ and ‘Danton's Death’ (at the Edinburgh Fringe).
Ollo Clark The Master
Ollo has just finished his first year studying English at Teddy Hall and, amongst other shows, has performed as Puck in an adaptation of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ and Finn in a newly written script of Angela Carter's ‘The Magic Toyshop’ (at the Oxford Playhouse). He is also a member of the NYT and Oneohone Theatre Company.
Raymond Blankenhorn Ivan/Matthew/Baron Maigel
Raymond is entering his fourth and final year studying Classics at Queen’s College, Oxford. He collaborated with Max Hoehn for a production of Reza’s ‘Art’ and directed Max in Schindler’s ‘Liebelei’. His recent acting roles include Don John in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, Roderigo in ‘Othello’ and Charles Darwin in ‘A Dream of England’ at the Wigmore Hall. He has also performed in an Oxford Playhouse production of ‘Agamemnon’ and last term directed and starred in a production of ‘My Fair Lady’.
